About Audio Visual Lab.
Audio Visual Lab is a Durban video production studio founded in 2014. We build visual work that helps ambitious brands earn attention and close distance with their audience. Over the past decade we've shot and edited thousands of hours of footage for clients across South Africa — from single-camera executive interviews to multi-day commercial productions with full agency briefs.

A Durban studio with a national reach.
We chose Durban deliberately. It’s where our crew lives, where our post-production suite runs, and where a meaningful share of South Africa’s commercial and corporate work actually gets shot. But our work travels. We’ve produced in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pietermaritzburg, Richards Bay and across the KZN north and south coasts. If your brief calls for a specific location, we’ll go there.

Clarity before craft.
The most cinematic shoot in the world fails if the message isn’t clear. Every production begins with us understanding what you’re trying to say and who you’re saying it to.
PRINCIPLE 02
Honest scoping.
You get one quote, transparently broken down by line item. No surprise day rates. No “additional” post-production fees after delivery. If scope changes, we discuss it before we act on it.
PRINCIPLE 03
Delivery that respects the deadline.
Campaigns have launch dates. Events have broadcast windows. AGMs happen on a specific Tuesday. We build production timelines backward from your delivery date and we protect that date.

The full production stack, in-house.
Our team carries the full production stack in-house — director, director of photography, camera operator, sound recordist, drone pilot (SACAA-licensed), editor, colourist, sound designer and motion graphics. That means fewer handoffs, less friction, and a consistent creative vision from first storyboard to final master.
